SEARCHES & PROPERTY PROTECTION

Understanding The Importance of Conveyancing Searches

Searches are done as part of the conveyancing to protect the interest of the client. As part of the process of buying a property we urge clients to undertake certain searches to ensure your investment is protected. Our Lawyers we will discuss with you the types of searches that we can carry out on your behalf and offer reasons as to why they are beneficial.

We will generally include in our quote a set of standard searches to ensure you are covered from a financial point of view i.e. Rates, Water and Land Taxes, as well as Council Searches that may reveal if there are any conditions, notices or illegal improvements on the property.

Whilst the A.L.F. Lawyers representative will explain and recommend searches for your purchase, the final decision of what searches are done remains with you as the client.
